Changing HP on Deere engines

.. Randy, Rick, Annette, Geoff, Dec 16/06

All John Deere engine option code changes, including horsepower changes, must be done on a workorder. List the code change, along with a brief description, in the workorder notes. For example:
Change to SAE #2 1407 ->1406
Change to 24V starter 3009-> 3042

If the engine is equipped with a trimable options page (83XX code), trim changes on this page do not have to reported to JD.

Horsepower is a little more complex as it involves credits and debits from Deere. It too should be listed on the work order. On the purchase order to Deere 7211 ($250.00)->7255 ($650.00) please include the DNP price of the 2 codes.

The person who initiates the request performs 3 actions:

The shop changes the engine HP using their mechancal magic. In Deere Service Advisor / Custom Performance Software the mechanic sends the return file to Deere. From this, Deere issues a charge or credit to Frontier.

If the engine is an 'old style' engine that does not require the Custom Performance software to change the HP (hence no charge or credit), the shop informs the salesman, who deletes the PO to Deere.
