MP Pumps Warranty Procedures |
Daniel Torres, Jan/2003 |
Under the standard MP Pumps warranty statement and their internal
policies & procedures, labour for pump repairs is not reimbursable. For us
to be able to deal with warranty repairs without incurring into expenses that
will not be reimbursed heres the advice that Paul Flammersfeld provided:
- When an MP pump becomes defective, we should contact and obtain an
RGA#, have it shipped by the customer (if in the US) directly to MP Pumps or by
Frontier (if customer in Canada, as the export of the pump requires customs
documents).
- Paul advises that when pump becomes defective we should order and/or
supply customer with a new one and credit will be issued promptly if
applicable. By shipping the whole pump assembly to them, cause of failure
assessment and inspection of defective parts can be performed more effectively
than if we disassemble the equipment, undertake repairs and then ship failed
parts.
- Freight charges are an issue too; MP Pumps will pay incoming freight
for the new pump on ground service only, air freight and
outgoing freight to our customer wont be covered, so we should try to
have the pump shipped directly to the customer if possible.
